About Our Director:
As a writer and curator, Jeanne has focused on the intersection between visual technologies, landscape planning, and environmental history. She is the author of two books, The View from Above: The Science of Social Space (MIT Press, 2013) and Landscapes of Housing (Routledge Press, 2021), and has written articles for publications such as The Guardian, Atlantic Cities, Landscape Architecture Magazine, Urban Omnibus, and Arch+ as well as a radio essay for BBC Radio 3. Before joining NYS Parks, Jeanne co-curated the exhibition Hudson Rising at the New-York Historical Society (2019) and taught at Harvard and Brown universities.
