Come spend the Fourth of July protecting an endangered species, the Piping Plover, during the Fireworks Spectacular Show at Jones Beach State Park.

Take a walk out on the sand to the beachfront and be positioned around the nesting areas. All ages are welcome to volunteer, but all those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Come at 5:30 pm to Field 1 to fill out volunteer paperwork. The show begins around 9:30 pm and lasts 25-30 minutes. We ask that volunteers stay until patrons leave the beach. Sandwiches and drinks are provided.
