The eyes of moths are covered in tiny bumps that prevent light reflection, camouflaging the insects from predators and enhancing their night vision. Join us and materials scientist Gregory Doerk of Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Center for Functional Nanomaterials to learn how scientists are mimicking these nanotextures on solar cell surfaces to increase the amount of light they absorb—and ultimately convert into electricity. Brookhaven Lab science educator Michele Darienzo will moderate the discussion and give a short introduction.
