Up to a billion birds die each year in North America from colliding into windows at homes and businesses, making it the second leading cause of mortality behind cat predation. This lecture will focus on the species affected, the types of windows and buildings that pose the greatest risk, and what homeowners and government can do and have done to address the problem.
