What types of sharks are around, and why do they call Long Islands waters home? The South Fork Natural History Museum's Shark Research and Education Program is exploring these questions further. Join Greg Metzger, SOFO Shark Research and Education Program Field Coordinator, for an in depth look at their current research investigating Long Island shark species from 2015- present. In this talk, Greg will be introducing us to what sharks live in our waters, the different tools that are used for shark research, and how to identify sharks from land, sea, and air.
* Parking fees collected 6am-6pm across Jones Beach State Park. Empire Passes also accepted.
