Balloon Mission Inc is raising awareness about the surprising negative impact of balloons and empowering people to take action and make a difference. Join Balloon Mission Inc and the Department of Environmental Conservation for a workshop to talk about balloon debris and discover fun new alternatives to using balloons to celebrate.

Their mission is to collect balloons after people are finished using them, but before they end up as trash, causing harm to the environment, wildlife, and even us (from micro and nano-plastics).

In the short term, they are re-purposing all balloons and ribbons into energy with Covanta, providing electricity for homes and businesses here on Long Island. In the long term, through funding from donations and grant awards, Balloon Mission Inc. recycles them into other products like industrial flooring through TerraCycle.

* Parking fees collected 8am-4pm across Jones Beach State Park. Empire Passes also accepted.
