Celebrate Earth Day with us by learning all about pollinators! These are the birds, bees, butterflies and insects that help plants become fertilized. Without them, we wouldn’t have many of our favorite seeds, fruits, or even new, baby plants.
12:00pm- Build your own bee or insect house! (RSVP needed due to limited materials)
Using upcycled materials you could even find in your own home, we teach you how to make a insect house you can bring home.
1:00pm- Pollinator Garden Tour
Our pollinator garden is growing back in for the springtime, learn about native plants and how to foster a healthy ecosystem for Long Island birds, bees, butterflies, and other insects.
2:00pm- Springtime Storytime
Sit with our educator and join us for a read-aloud of spring-themed stories sure to remind you of the warmth and sunshine of this amazing season!
3:00pm- Pollinator Relay Races
Embody a bee or butterfly by playing our pollinator games. You will bounce, run, and fly around as you move pollen to-and-fro!
