What can Jones Beach teach us about the relationships between people, energy, and the environment? Energy & Us, a new interdisciplinary curriculum for high school students, explores this question from the atomic to the global scale, from the prehistoric to the present day and beyond. In this talk, Olivia Schwob will describe the development of Energy & Us, and discuss how the questions at the core of the project can help people of any age understand the places where they live, and their own role in the environment, more deeply.
