Birds are flying in by the dozens from their winter getaways--and we're here to welcome them! Our In Flight exhibition will debut and the day will be filled with other birding fun.

In Flight: Migration & Making Exhibition | All Ages - All Day

Jones Beach sees over 300 species of birds throughout the year. Some of them have swooped in for a visit thanks to the art-making skills of public volunteers.

Learn more about the different birds we see at Jones Beach, and bring your own flair to our exhibit room by decorating your own paper cut-out bird and adding it to our wall.

Global Big Day Bird Count | Adults & Teens - 9:00AM | All Ages - 2:00PM

A special bird walk for science! Go along for a hike with our educator and see how many bird species you can spot, to help researchers understand bird migration patterns. Binoculars provided. Learn more about eBird’s citizen science project here.

Birds of Nassau County's South Shore | Adults & Teens- 11:30 AM

Featuring wildlife photographer Jay Koolpix, hear his story of finding joy in retirement through the hobby of bird photography.
